Stainless Steel Earth Pan by Ozeri

I was recently given the opportunity to review the Stainless Steel Earth Pan by Ozeri.   Although the product was supplied to me at no charge, all opinions are my own.

As soon as I took my new pan out of the box, I had only one word that came to mind, BEAUTIFUL!  Yes, I really thought this new pan was absolutely beautiful.  It was so shiny that you could have used it for a mirror.  I’ve used it for several weeks now and it’s still just as pretty as the day I unboxed it.  It hasn’t been put in the dishwasher, so I’m sure that has something to do with why it’s still so pretty and shiny.

We’ve used it for all kinds of sticky, gooey messy things.  As you know, when I do a product review, I conduct an in-depth review.  I have put this Stainless Steel Earth Pan by Ozeri to the test and it has become one of my new favorites!  I actually removed a couple of my other “big name” brand pans from my collection to replace with this one.

Stainless Steel Earth Pan by OzeriUnlike another pan I own, the butter just rolled to the sides instead of seeming to sink into the pan.

Of course, there really isn’t a need for much clean up since it’s almost as clean when you finish using it as when you start.  It is truly one of those nonstick pans that you can wipe out with a paper towel when you’re done and it’s clean.  The picture below shows how great the nonstick service looks after using it for nearly a month.  This picture was taken immediately after cooking a big batch of hash browns from fresh potatoes.  Since the potatoes were fresh, they were very starchy and sticky.  No matter what I’ve cooked in the Stainless Steel Earth Pan by Ozeri, it has always finished this cleanly.

I wasn’t familiar with PFOA, but figured it must be something bad.  When I did a little research, the results weren’t pretty!  It is a carcinogen (cancer causing agent) in animals. PFOA has been detected in the blood of more than 98% of the general US population in the low and sub-parts per billion range, and levels are higher in chemical plant employees and surrounding subpopulations. Exposure has been associated with increased cholesterol and uric acid levels, and recently higher serum levels of PFOA were found to be associated with increased risk of chronic kidney disease in the general United States population, consistent with earlier animal studies.[6]   PFOA has been detected in industrial waste, stain resistant carpets, carpet cleaning liquids, house dust, microwave popcorn bags, water, food, some cookware and PTFE such as Teflon.  Information in this paragraph taken from Wikipedia.

After doing my homework on the PFOA, I decided to research the Eterna coating.  I was surprised to find that it is classified as gourmet cookware coating, but I don’t feel that it has a gourmet cookware price tag.  The Stainless Steel Earth Pan by Ozeri was actually one of the better priced pans I found with the Eterna coating.
