Home Cooked Breakfast on a School Day
This month the Dishing It Up gang is featuring Freezer Cooking. Some of the participating blogs may feature meals that are ready to heat and serve. Others, like myself, may feature pieces and parts of meals instead. When I cook food to fill the freezer, I tend to cook several different things that go together. This way, we almost always have something ready to eat that we like.
- Breakfast Sausage Links or Patties
- Place sausage in skillet, NO need to thaw.
- Turn frequently to avoid burning.
- Drain on paper towels.
- When cool, use paper towels to wrap sausage in bundles of two.
- Stack sausage bundles neatly in a plastic storage bag or a freezer container.
- Freeze.
- When needed, splash with a little water to keep the sausage moist in the microwave.
- Microwave for 30 - 45 seconds.
