Sid The Science Kid - The Super-Duber Exhibit

Have you watched Sid the Science Kid on PBS?  I hadn’t ever watched Sid until a few years ago when I was babysitting a preschooler and a baby.  I fell in love with Sid and his pals.  I loved all of the great science information presented to preschoolers, on their level, but with facts and evidence.  It’s like Sesame Street teamed up with Einstein and Sid the Science Kid was born.  In my science classes, we shot rocket launchers, made foamy cats fly through the air, created safe chemical reactions, and conducted all kinds of ooey, gooey, messy scientific stuff!  I was also the math teacher, so my kids learned how to apply the math to their real world science lessons.  We didn’t just learn about science, we did science!  In case you didn’t know it, MS Do has a master’s degree in science education, so Sid speaks to my inner geek.

Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit! opens January 25th at The Magic House for a limited time!  The new exhibit brings the PBS show to life as kids engage in an amazing adventure that will ignite their interest in science.  The Super-Duper Exhibit explores everyday science questions in Sid’s home, on the playground and at school.  This new exhibit is included with the price of Museum admission.
