My daughter and I were in Springfield on Monday and stopped by Dillon’s, a Kroger affiliate. We were able to pick up our Cheetos and Hamburger Helper freebies that were available the last two weeks. Even though my daughter lives with me, she has her own Kroger card that is registered with her dad’s address. Some weeks we keep the freebies for ourselves, but other weeks we send the freebies to his house. Because of my gluten intolerance, there are very few varieties of the Hamburger Helper that I’m able to eat. I don’t care much for the rest of them. So, when we picked up our Hamburger Helper this week, we selected varieties that my daughter wouldn’t mind eating when she was at her dad’s house. It’s a win-win for all involved.
This Dillon’s location has an awesome bakery section. My daughter loves to go to this store because she’s able to get all kinds of breads from their self-serve been for $0.25 each. She also convinced me that she needed cinnamon twist donuts. It was hard for me to resist myself. 😉 For everything in the picture, we paid $1.98. The Cheetos and Hamburger Helper for each card holder totaled $6.94 before the cards were scanned. Most of the freebies allow about 2-3 weeks before they expire, so if Kroger isn’t nearby, you’ll have a little time to pick up a freebie or two at the same time.
