Advanced Probiotics

There for a while, it seemed like every yogurt commercial talked about how much it could do for your gut and your immune system.  What it didn’t tell you was how horrible the stuff tasted.  My dad has all kinds of “stomach” problems and his doctor actually told him to start eating the stuff.  My mom and him faithfully ate a carton of it every night with their dinner.  It seriously gagged me.

Around the same time, I began researching probiotic supplements.  Through my research, I learned that I had suffered needlessly from irritable bowel and why none of the treatments or medications ever helped me.  As a matter of fact, I probably never had irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).  It was a diagnosis given to me when the gastrointestinal doctor couldn’t figure out what caused my stomach distress.

Years after the IBS diagnosis, my Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) doctor helped me with TONS of food allergy testing.  I had suffered with oral thrush for about two years.  For six weeks, I took three times the normal dosage of the prescription medication given to women for vaginal yeast infections.  I tried a low carb diet.  I read all kinds of books about Candidias. I tried everything recommended, yet nothing helped.  I lost weight, a lot of weight, like 50 pounds.  But the thrush persisted.

What are Probiotic Supplements

Once the food allergy tests started rolling in, the answers became crystal clear.  I had persistently suffered from these horrible patches in my mouth, ulcers that ate holes between my molars, and all kinds of miserable digestive issues that dated back to my childhood because I had undiagnosed food allergies.  I was allergic to everything I was eating or using as a thrush treatment!

Now, how does all of this relate to my research on probiotic supplements?  The research I’ve uncovered (and sadly I didn’t save it), shows that the reasoning behind people having many of these food allergies and things like IBS is because we don’t have enough of the naturally occurring bacterias in our gut.

From that point on, I started searching out the probiotic supplements discussed in my research.  I did a little experimentation by trying out different probiotics.  If it doesn’t have rhamnosus and plantarum in it, then I’m not interested in even trying it.  The only way the combination gets even better is if it also contains reuteri

It’s rare to find a probiotic supplement which contains all three, so finding two out of three is more than enough to make me happy.  If you check around, you’ll see that these aren’t always included in probiotics.  If they are, they’re generally much higher priced.

Now that you know what combination of probiotic supplements make my gut happy, you probably want to know how well they work.  They work well enough that I can tolerate almost all of the foods that I was once classified as allergic to.  When the food testing was done, there were only eight items that I had ZERO allergy to.  The list even included things I would never consider putting in my mouth, even if starving!

Irritable Bowel Syndrome?  I haven’t had a problem with it in years.  The Advanced Probiotic Supplements is one of a very few supplements that I will put on my list to pay for once this review period is finished.

Do you suffer from those “stomach problems” when you take antibiotics?  Yes, probiotic supplements help with that problem, too!
