While walking through the mall a few days ago, my daughter and I were drawn into the Best Buy Mobile store. It’s not something we would normally investigate, but this sign was too much for us to resist. I had an old phone in my purse that we weren’t using, so we went in to see if we could trade it in. Considering it was an iPhone 3G, I thought they might offer me $5, if I was lucky. To our surprise, we were offered a $50 Best Buy Gift Card for my old dinosaur that is now only used for taking pictures and it does that extremely slowly! Promotions vary from time to time, but you can look up the base price that will typically be offered for your phone, before shopping at your nearest Best Buy Mobile location.
I had no idea they did this Trade-In offer program EVERYDAY for AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint when you upgrade or buy and activate a new phone service line. The worker who helped me was great. He xzlooked up my phone plan to find out when I was able to upgrade my phone line. He not only explained all of my options, but he wrote out all of my options and exact costs on a form so that I could take it with me to look over and really consider all of my options.
I loved the no pressure approach provided by the Best Buy Mobile staff. In addition to the form I received, there was a great booklet available for customers to pick up throughout various locations in the store. The brochure was filled with all of the phone and tablet options available from AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. While I was visiting with my Best Buy Mobile staff member, I observed another transferring contacts from old phones to new phones. It was a no fuss, no muss service that I observed not once, but twice during my brief visit.
Of course, most of you know that MS Do and Miss JoJo are techie geeks so we had to stop and check out the all of the different accessories available for the different phones and tablets. We saw a great assortment of cases, screen protectors, chargers, and headphones. We later made a stop at a regular Best Buy store and couldn’t believe then even greater variety of these products a available at the Best Buy Mobile within the actual store.
What ate you waiting for? Go on your own mobile scavenger hunt at home. Your older mobile phone or tablet hiding out the bottom of that drawer or cabinet might just be the inspiration and source of your next Best Buy Mobile shopping spree. You might just get a free phone and a Best Buy gift card to be a few accessories for it!
