Do you have a text messaging service on your cell phone plan? I do, but don’t actually text that much. People kept texting me, so I decided to sign up for a texting plan because a plan was cheaper than the text messages without one! Since then, I have learned many advantages of texting, one of the greatest is text coupons. I’ve signed up to receive text coupons and alerts for stores in my area. Some stores allow me to stack manufacturer (MFG) coupons with those they text to me. This can help turn a good deal into a great deal!
There are many free texting programs available on the internet. I used Google, through my email account, to text before I signed up for texting with my phone. The only downside that I found is that I couldn’t receive offers like these on my text account.
In the coming weeks, I’ll share lists with you that contains the information on signing up for text alerts and text coupons for stores that you may want to sign up for. Unless you live in a large city that has all of the stores listed, I wouldn’t suggest signing up for all of them. Sign up for your favorites and the stores that you actually frequent for the best use of your text plan and to prevent text overload. 😉
