Have you ever bought or received something that you were so excited about that you just couldn’t wait to open it up and use it?  I received CraftyCroc Chalk Markers and CraftyCroc Mini Chalkboard Labels and opened them almost as soon as they arrived.  This was the first time we’ve tried my hand at any chalkboard crafting and we were hooked in seconds!

CraftyCroc for the Chalk Loving Crafters

I ripped into the CraftyCroc Large Chalkboard labels I received for $0.13 through the No More Coupons program.  I created labels for my gluten-free baking mix (Bisquick) and my gluten-free all purpose flour substitute.  Over the years, I’ve tried a variety of different labels, stickers, and tapes to mark the containers.  Because of the texture of the container, none of them have ever stuck very well.  Since these are gluten-free mixes, I also keep them in my refrigerator to keep them fresher longer.  The few things that did manage to stick before never lasted very long because of the moisture level in the fridge and the container sweating when it sits out.

CraftyCroc Refrigerator Containers

I am thrilled to report that the CraftyCroc Large Chalkboard Labels adhered well and quickly to the cold container.  They haven’t slipped or lost their grip on the containers.  Needless to say, I am quite impressed!

Of course, being the Type A Perfectionist that I am, I liked one of the labels, but not the other.  According to the directions on the CraftyCroc Chalkboard Labels, the chalk wipes away cleanly.

I didn’t care for the way my writing turned out on one of my labels.  So I used one napkin with a little water to wipe away the text I created using the CraftyCroc Liquid Chalk Markers.  Then I dried the same Chalkboard Label off with a dry napkin.  While the label was wet, it looked as if the original writing would still be visible.  Much to my surprise, it dried and was completely invisible.  I did this about six or seven times with the same label because I just couldn’t get it to look like I wanted it to.  Finally, I gave up and decided it was good enough for something being shoved in the refrigerator.

My daughter happened to notice what I was doing by then.  She had to come and make some labels for herself.  The CraftyCroc Fancy Designs Mini Chalkboard Labels were her label of choice.  She created labels to decorate her storage cabinet in her bedroom.  Then we each made a Senior, Class of 2015 label to put on her both of memorabilia that she is collecting from this school year.  She laughed about how I drew the mortarboard the first time, so it was a redo as well.

Yes, I used the word mortarboard.  She’ll hopefully wear one in a little over six months, but hasn’t a clue of what one is.

CraftyCroc Cookie Boards

Since we were having so much fun with our CraftyCroc products, I dug out another set of mini chalkboards.  These are Holiday Placards that could be used as name cards, to identify foods served at a holiday get together, or whatever way you dream up using them.  Since these are intended for cookies, I wrote the name of my Graham Cracker cookies on it.  Just as advertised, the CraftyCroc Liquid Chalk Markers cleaned up completely and neatly, as they did on the CraftyCroc Mini Chalkboard Labels.  You can use the CraftyCroc Liquic Chalk Markers are almost any smooth, nonporous surface.
