Bright Cycle Falcon After SunsetSunset Meant the End of Fun Before the Bright Cycle Falcon

Here in my little neck of the woods, I live in a quiet, hidden away neighborhood.  We live less than a mile from the city limits and less than a mile from I-44, one of the major east to west interstates stretching across country.  It’s the peaceful, little tucked away kind of place where you let your kids play outside, even well after dark.  Unfortunately, it’s also pitch black out here at night.  My back yard is separated from Mark Twain National Forrest by a dirt road, the streetlights are called starts where I live.

Even though it’s safe enough for the kids to stay out and play, it’s that darkness factor that poses the threats.  When you live in an area surrounded by a National Forrest, it’s common place to encounter a small pack of coyotes or even a herd of deer while driving through this neighborhood.  Of course, there are fun things like snakes and potholes that were a gift of this past winter.

It’s absolutely beautiful, living out here in the country, but when it gets dark you’re forced inside since it’s so dark.  But there are no family walks or other night time activities like those I grew up doing in a city as a kid, like riding my bike when it finally cooled off in those oh so hot summer months.  My daughter and her bestie used to ride their bikes to one another’s houses when they were younger and before Erin moved, but then it always got dark before they realized it.  So one parent or the other had to go and retrieve a child and possibly a bicycle or the child had to go back on foot the next day to reclaim their bike.

Gone are those days for our household!  No, the county didn’t decide to put up streetlights, we received a Bright Cycle Falcon.  In less than five minutes, my daughter’s bicycle was transformed from a regular bicycle to a night rider!

The Bright Cycle Falcon was super simple and fast to install.  Everything you need is included in the box.  Just open the box up, take the bolt out of the clamp, put the clamp and rubber gasket onto the bicycle, tighten the bolt, twist the clamp head forward, put the battery into the flashlight, put the flashlight into the top of the clamp, and ride.  My battery arrived with a charge, but I can’t say that all of them would.  Even if it arrives without a charge, it’s not a problem.  That’s why an electric cord is included.  It’s to charge the included rechargeable battery.

Bright Cycle Falcon Easily Projects 50 Feet

The light projects really well.  My house is about 30 feet by 50 feet.  The light easily projects both of these distances, but we played around with the angle of the flashlight and the settings (described below) to get it to project that far.  It projects well enough to keep us safe on those night rides.

By twisting the head of the light you can adjust the beam shape from a wide flood light to a tight spot light, even while riding.  The wide light is awesome when it is really dark and you need to see all around you.  The spotlight is most effective when you are going faster and need to see far into the distance.  A half press of  the power button allows you to cycle through Hi/Med/Lo/Strobe/SOS light modes.  It’s offers variety and saves the battery.

Want to go on a really long ride and forgot to charge  your battery or want to carry a backup supply?  Not a problem.   There is a AAA battery holder shipped inside the body of the flashlight.  Load it with batteries before setting out and you’re ready for a quick change.

I’m not much of a bicycle rider any more.  I fell and broke my tailbone many years ago and it kills me to ride now.  But, I have a different idea that I think the Bright Cycle Falcon could also be used for.  During different stages of my battle with Multiple Sclerosis, I have used a walker.  During one episode, I was invited to a friend’s house for a cook out and a bonfire.  Even though it scared my friends, I drug myself across to the fire pit area.  There were several friends holding flashlights for me, but they were still nervous.  Having something like the Bright Cycle Falcon attached to my walker, to light my path, would have made us all feel a lot safer.  I know that I would have felt more in control during a time that I had little control over much in my life.

Whether you have a bicycle enthusiast in your life or someone life me with a walker based disability, the Bright Cycle Falcon is versatile for every family.  Just in case you couldn’t tell from the pictures, it also doubles as a regular flashlight when not in use on your bicycle.  If you need something more to help you decide why this is the bicycle light for you, it comes with a 90 Day Moneyback Guarantee and a 10yr Warranty.  You will love the Falcon, but if for some reason you don’t, they’ll happily give you your money back.
