Turn a simple can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls into an unbelievable Valentine's Day Cinnamon Rolls they'll never forget!
Ingredients
  • Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls (These were Kroger brand)
  • Red or Pink Food Dye (Optional)
  • Pizza Stone (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to the temperature given on the roll of cinnamon rolls. Open the can of cinnamon rolls. Set the glaze aside. Unroll the cinnamon rolls.
  2. Separate one strip from the others.
  3. Begin rolling each end of the cinnamon roll toward the center.
  4. It may be easier to roll sideways instead of standing up.
  5. Once the two ends meet, transfer it to your desired place on the baking sheet. I use a pizza stone. You may need to unroll it a little to form and shape the pointed bottom of the heart.
  6. Just before putting in the oven, pinch the tip of the heart to help it keep the pointy tip.
  7. I shaped mine into a circle of hearts while placing them on the baking sheet.
  8. (OPTIONAL) While the cinnamon rolls are baking, I put about half of the icing into a small bowl and dipped just the tip of the baby spoon into the jar of dye. Blend thoroughly. I don't know if I used too much or if it's just "that" red dye thing, but it ended up with the bitter red flavor. I probably won't do this again. :(
  9. Bake according to the directions on the can. Mine baked at 400* for about 15 minutes.Allow the cinnamon rolls to cool for about five minutes before icing. This will allow the icing to remain on top of the cinnamon rolls instead of completely melting down and ending up on the stone (or baking sheet). The cinnamon rolls normally take about 15 minutes to bake. These were ready to eat in about 25 minutes.
  10. (DYED ICING OPTIONAL) Use the white icing on every other cinnamon roll heart. Use the spoon to apply the dyed icing to the remaining cinnamon rolls.
  11. The finished project!
