Kroger yogurt

Yogurt is is good for us, but Kroger has several lines, such as Greek and carbmaster that are thought to be even “healthier”.

Kroger has their own brand of Greek yogurts. Greek yogurts have twice the protein of regular yogurt. If you have trouble tolerating lactose, Greek is advantageous because it has less lactose. The Greek also has half the refined sugar – stevia and real fruit are used to sweeten it. Most flavors of the Greek are about 130 calories with 14 g of protein (most “regular” yogurt has about 7 g of protein).

Kroger has a lite variety of Greek yogurt that still has all the extra protein, but less carbohydrates and calories. Another type of yogurt Kroger offers is carbmaster. This line is still very high in protein, but are very low in carbohydrates and sugar. These are good for those cutting carbs, as well as diabetics.

Though I like the idea of the high protein in all these varieties, I just don’t like the taste and consistency as well. I tried black cherry and strawberry Greek, strawberry and blueberry lite Greek as well as cherry and strawberry carbmaster. The Greek is just too thick for my taste, though I think it would grow on me, if I kept trying it.

Kroger has a great yogurt line. If you want high protein yogurt, try the Greek. If you want high protein with less calories, you might be interested in the Greek lite. The carbmaster yogurts are still very high in protein, but have less sugar and carbs.

Despite the fact that it does not have as much protein as these other varieties, I’ll stick with my favorite type. The type yogurt I absolutely love is also made by Kroger. My fridge is almost never without Kroger strawberry cheesecake lite yogurt and/or the cherry vanilla lite Kroger variety. I feel like I’ve earned a degree studying yogurts, lol.
