Immediately upon plugging in the camera and parent handheld unit, everything was working perfectly. When the room is dark, the monitor screen is dark. When the room is lit up, the monitor screen appears with full color. The parent handheld unit allows you to refocus the camera by remotely moving the camera lens up, down, side to side, and it even zooms!
