When it came time to do your kids’ Back to School shopping, did your kids or you look for supplies that were different or unique in some way? Are they at the age where they want their things to be just like everyone else has or would they prefer to stand out in the crowd? My daughter is 17 and a senior in high school. We’ve gone through both of those phases and everything in between.
A few years ago, she fell in love with all of the new designer duct tapes. I actually have to make threats (aka rules) regarding where she can and can not put her decorative duct tape. 😉 One of her teachers actually devoted a class period on reinforcing their notebook covers with duct tape a couple of years ago and she thought it was the bee’s knees. Almost all of her notebooks have been duct taped ever since.
Thanks to Scotch Duct Tape sending us this great assortment of their tapes, she has a couple of fabulous notebooks for school this year that she designed for herself. Two of the covers have been decorated with the Scotch Duct Tape Word Up pattern. It’s the black with bright colors on the upper left. The other is the Scotch Duct Tape Prep Chevron. 
Scotch Duct Tape for Custom Notebooks
One of Miss Jojo’s friends recently noticed the blue chevron notebook cover. The friend was amazed when she found out that dear daughter made it herself. The friend thought it was a store bought notebook. It was actually an orange notebook that she had previously used for something else. It still had plenty of paper in it. She put a strip of blue paper on it, wrote PSYCHOLOGY across it, then added the Scotch Duct Tape Prep Chevron. To make it extra durable, she added a layer of clear packing tape in the opposite direction (up and down) of the Scotch Duct Tape (side to side). Like this idea?
