Retail store coupons are another great way to save whether you’re doing day to day shopping, a special occasion, or a major holiday. One of the lesser known tricks of shopping with retail store coupons is that you’re often able to use your manufacturer coupons for your individual items in addition to the retail store coupon.
I frequently do this at Dollar General. Several times a month, they offer a $5 off $25 coupon. I present this $5 retail store coupon first and then my manufacturer coupons for my individual items. My overall savings at Dollar General averages between 50% to 75%. These savings help my limited budget tremendously and I now do the majority of my shopping at Dollar General. Since many of these stores are accepting coupons and sell items that coupons are often available for, check to see if they accept manufacturer coupons as well. My motto is, “You can’t tell me no if I don’t ask.”
