Monster 500 Graveyard Gauntlet & Toxic Terror Trap
Monster 500 is the most fun I’ve had with a house full of teenagers and adults in a long, long time. If the targeted age group of 4+ have nearly as much fun with these toys as the teens and adults did who have played with the Monster 500 Graveyard Gauntlet and Monster 500 Toxic Terror Trap, then it’s a winning combination all the way around!
The Monster 500 Graveyard Gauntlet is a fun, racetrack style setup. The green-eyed skull launcher attaches to a table with a plastic vice. It’s easy to work, even for the smallest of hands. Just set the car at the top of the ramp, press down on the skull and the Monster 500 Small Vehicles are off and down the ramp.
Hopefully, they make it safely through the swinging tower of skull and flames. If not, the swinging skull may derail one or both vehicles and the race must begin again. Whichever Monster 500 Small Vehicle makes it through and stays on track will hit the bone under the blue-eyed skull, which releases the flag behind the skull, announcing the winning car.
The Monster 500 Toxic Terror Trap requires batteries to function properly, but otherwise sets up quickly. The same Monster 500 Small Vehicles that work with the Monster 500 Graveyard Gauntlet work with the Monster 500 Toxic Terror Trap.
One car comes with each set, so if each set is purchased, you’ll have enough Monster 500 Small Vehicles to work with both sets. If not, you can purchase them individually or in packs of three. Of course, a Monster 500 Large Vehicle can sit on the sidelines and watch all the fun. With the push of the button on the back, they light up, and the Zoom Zombie Monster 500 Large Vehicle, squeals and shrieks reminiscent of the cackle of the crypt keeper from Tales From the Crypt.
Even if your car won at the Monster 500 Graveyard Gauntlet, it may not be able to escape the hungry, purple alligator. Drive the Freak Force Monster 500 Small Vehicle up the ramp, load the elevator car, and release it by pressing down on the Hazmat worker. The hazmat worker sends Freak Force down through the curvy layers of the Toxic Terror Trap. Then it reaches the twisty, turning toxic monster that reminds me of Slimer from Ghostbusters. Depending on the way he turns will determine whether your Monster 500 Small Vehicle is gobbled up or set free. If he’s gobbled up, you’re hazmat team will surely delight in the sounds made by the alligator gobbling up Freak Force or any of the other Monster 500 Small Vehicles, followed by his deep, gulping burps.
Want to keep the fun going after the toys are put away? There’s also a FREE Monster 500 Racing App at the App Store and Google play. Sounds great for gift ideas
This looks like it would be a great toy for my 4 year old grandson. He loves his toys that have action figures and he moves them around on his own. I think he would absolutely love this since it actually moves the cars for him and he doesn’t have to push them. This looks like a fun, engaging toy set that should keep him busy for hours and I can play with him also with little effort on my part! Sometimes playing gets tiring for us Granny’s!
These toys are horrible looking. They would give kids nightmares and should be pulled!
I could see how they would be scary for some kids. Other kids would love them though.
Perfect for halloween festivities. I think my boys would have a blast with the racing and sound effects.
