Looking for something to do with the kids this summer that won’t break the bank?  Select bowling centers around the US and Canada are participating in the Kids Bowl Free program. This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.

Individual bowling centers determine the maximum age of participation in the program.  As long as your children do not exceed the age limit, they are eligible to register for 2 free games a day, all summer long, courtesy of the participating bowling centers along with the schools and organizations.

Please use my email (DealsFromMsDo@gmail.com) if you sign up for the program.  I’m not sure why they want my address, but let’s humor them!

Surprisingly, my little town has a participating bowling alley.  Yes, locals, Buckhorn Lanes is participating in this program!!!  Can you believe it? Children as old as 15 can bowl for FREE at our bowling alley.  Each center has determined their own age limits, so just use any of the links that I’ve provided in this article to investigate your local bowling alley.

Buckhorn Lanes Availability for the Kids Bowl Free program:

  • May 1 – August 31
  • Monday thru Thursday from 1:00pm — 9:00pm
  • Friday thru Sunday  from 1:00pm — 5:00pm

Once I registered my daughter for the program, I received the following message:

Don’t worry MS Do, we haven’t forgotten about you! If you would like to bowl 2 games each day with your kids for a ONE-TIME payment of $24.95 just fill out the form below.

You can even add up to three more adults onto the Family Pass. This is great for mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, and even older siblings!

A couple of years ago, I bought a family pass.  It was a great way for us to spend time together without spending a lot of money.  I listed my ex-husband and I both on the pass, so no matter who our daughter was with, she was able to bowl for free and so was the parent with her.  We would meet up with a friend whose husband traveled a lot, so it was great for all of us.  She got some adult interaction, the kids had fun, and we got to spend some time together.  It was a win, no matter how you looked at it!

What is the family pass?

The Family Pass is an optional upgrade to the FREE Summer Bowling Program for Kids. The Family Pass allows up to 4 Adult family members to receive the same great 2 FREE game offer as the children.

Who Can Use The Family Pass?

  • Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Babysitters & Other Adult Family Members
  • Older children that do not qualify for the Kids Bowl FREE Offer. See your local center restrictions for the age requirements at your participating center.
  • You will need to add at least one name to the family pass when purchased, however you may add up to three (3) additional names to the family pass at anytime. Once the names are on the family pass they cannot be changed.

What’s the Catch?

There’s not one!  You will be required to rent bowling shoes, unless you own your own shoes.  If you plan to bowl frequently, it would be cost-effective to buy shoes.  Mom and Dad’s shoe sizes won’t change much over the years, but the kiddos will, of course.  So, to save even more money, Mom and Dad can buy their own shoes.  Of course, they can buy shoes for the little ones as well, but unless there are several kids to pass them down to, I wouldn’t.
