Fortune Girls Empower Tweens

Fortune Girls to Empower our Tweens

The website is slow to load for me, but it may just be my internet.  There are many great areas to investigate for our tween girls and their parents?  So, what are you waiting for?  Go check out the Fortune Girls website!

With the the support of Whoppi Goldberg, Venus Williams and High School Musicals, Monique Colemans, let’s empower Tweens to believe in themselves and encourage them to pursue their dreams!  Through Kickstarter, Madison Ruiz and her mother are trying to raise the funds to create webisodes of her multi-cultural Fortune Girls characters.  Madison began creating the Fortune Girls at age 2 and now has a full cast of characters on a mission to empower tween girls ages 6-12, all around the world.  I’m sure that my daughter’s favorite Fortune Girl will be Margeaux, who lives in Paris.  Webisodes will focus on topics such as bullying and self-esteem to begin Changing the World…One Girl at a Time!

The Fortune Girls research team discovered that both moms and girls of all ethnic backgrounds were reflected the wide range of diversity found with the Fortune Girls. Madison and the rest of the Fortune Girls team believe positive doll imagery can shape the mind of young girls, and that alone helps to build self-esteem and self-confidence.

If you’re not familiar with Kickstarter, Fortune Girls have 30 days to reach their ENTIRE funding goal! If they don’t reach it, then the whole thing is called off and your credit cards are never charged. The worst part is their shorts never get made and you don’t receive any of our UBER-COOL FG STUFF, including our animated short! If we succeed, we’ll get crackin’ on our short and produce your AWESOME products.

Should you choose to make a donation to support the Fortune Girls project, you’ll be able to select from a variety of thank you products in return for your support.  We know that everyone has their favorite FG, so you can customize most of our products with your favorite Fortune Girls.

Unable to make a donation, but want to stay informed about the Fortune Girls project?  Stay in touch with them on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
