Father’s Day Printables – Love You to Pieces

Father’s Day isn’t a big deal around my house.  My dad lives two states away.  He’s gotten to the age where he says that he doesn’t need anything.  He’s 77 years old, so there is a bit of truth in that statement.  I call and wish him a Happy Father’s Day and that’s enough to make him happy.  Of course, we talk several times a week, so I guess it’s the thought that counts.  😉

But, my daughter is a teenager and likes to craft things for her daddy.  We’ve been divorced for over ten years, so I encourage craft projects versus shopping for him.  It helps her to build more of a connection to a present than simply buying a gift at the store and he absolutely adores anything she makes for him.

She scours Pinterest for upcoming holidays and has Pinterest boards filled with ideas she can make for each of us.  When she shared this Reese’s Pieces Father’s Day idea with me, I thought it was really cute!  I decided it was cute enough that I created it as a couple of Father’s Day Printables and wanted to share it with you!

While the kids can still make these by hand for dad, I suggest covering them with the tape.  This allows you to preserve their artwork for dad.  Then dad can ask for his jar to be refilled all year long.

Not bad for a gift that costs $2.50.

It’s really simple to make and requires minimal supplies.  We bought a bag of Reese’s Pieces, found an empty jar at home, and used wide, clear tape we already had.  To recreate this at home, you just need to create or print the label of your choice.

The first label is wide and wraps almost all the way around a small jar.  Download and print the Wide Father’s Day Printables Label now.  This would be better on something nice and wide like one of those new plastic Mayo containers with the flip lid.

Since the wide label seemed like it was just too big for the little jar, I created a smaller label.  The jar is a little over a half-pint, so it was just about the right size.  Download and print the Tall Father’s Day Printables Label now.

Father's Day PrintablesAfter cutting the labels out, I laid the on my table, printed side up.  I stretched the tape out and then placed it straight down on top of the label.  This kept there from being any lumps or wrinkles in the tape.  I repeated this with a second piece of tape to cover the bottom.
