By now, most everyone has seen or heard of BBQ Grill Mats. I was lucky enough to review a set BBQ Grill Mats from Cooking Savior. They’ve saved me time, effort, and money and I’ve only used them a few times.

Until using the Cooking Savior BBQ Grill Mats, I thought about throwing my grill away. I’m the kind of person who will use a grill until it falls apart. My current grill isn’t in quite that bad of shape, but the heat deflector thingy was completely burned through. While I was still able to cook on the grill, I was burning more than I was grilling. I couldn’t justify spending the money for one of those new heat deflector plate things when the grill wasn’t in great condition.

The Cooking Savior BBQ Grill Mats have saved my grill from the trash pile. They help distribute the heat across the mat and keep my food from burning directly above the flame. As a matter of fact, I find it hard to burn anything when grilling using my Cooking Savior BBQ Grill Mats. Normally, I would grill with the heat on the very lowest setting. When I use the BBQ Grill Mats, I have to turn the heat up just a little higher than usual. Otherwise, it takes much longer to cook using the lowest setting.

The Cooking Savior BBQ Grill Mats clean up much easier than any other grill device I’ve ever used. I can simply wash them down with soap and hot water, using a paper towel before or after I’ve used them. I do advise using paper towels though. After using my yellow kitchen sponge, I had black soot all over everything I washed afterward. The sponge was fine after a spin through the washing machine.

The Cooking Savior BBQ Grill Mats can be cut to fit your grill surface. I used one and a half sheets to cover the bottom layer of my grill. The other half sheet fit well on the top layer. Because of my Cooking Savior BBQ Grill Mats, I have spent more time grilling this summer and less time in my kitchen cooking over a hot stove. There’s no more scraping and scrubbing a hot grill either.

No matter how you slice up your grilled meats, the Cooking Savior BBQ Grill Mats are great for you, your grill, and your grilled foods!

I’ll admit, the commercials I’ve seen for these have left me skeptical. This review is great! It makes me want to go out and buy a set. In the summer we use our grill like crazy, and often in the winter too. One thing I wish I could cook more of is fish. Good ole seared tuna steak, or a nice piece of lemon pepper tilapia would be the first thing I’d try on one of these. I think it’s great how you still get a good grill char without the burning, sticking, or pieces falling through!

I have been really wanting to try grilled pineapple and this looks like the perfect way!

I haven’t seen the advertisements for the mats, but I would probably be skeptical without seeing them in real use. I’m glad to see the meat didn’t have that bland color to it after you cooked it all the way through, it looked like something that was actually grilled! I would love to cook some shish kabobs of chicken and summer veggies, or pineapple. I love grilled pineapple! Thanks for the great review.

I’ve been rigging up a BBQ mat for grilling out of tin foil for years, these would make grilling much easier! I’m always wary of new products that are supposed to make it easy but I know how you operate and your review makes me want to try these now!

  5. I was wondering how this would work with fish/salmon. Yum!

I have to say, as a grilling connoisseur that uses my grill almost daily, these mats seem to be the perfect answer to my problems with grilling broccoli, carrots, zucchini and all of my other items that would normally fall through the grates. I spend so much every year on aluminum pans for the grill that these grilling mats would probably pay for themselves in less than a weeks time! I will definitely search for these on Amazon with my next order. They will surely come in very handy for my grilling lifestyle. So cool! Why hasn’t anyone thought of this sooner? I don’t know but I’m gonna give them a try!

  7. Pick me! I’d love to try them!

  8. Ribeye steaks!!!
