CLD Brands Arts and Crafts Organizer Box is another product I recently reviewed.  I’m an organizer junky, I’m proud to admit it. The projects I do go so much faster when I can lay my hands on the materials in seconds versus having to search through everything I own to find what I’m looking for.  There was a time when I spent much more time looking for those materials than I spent creating my entire project.

This is just one wall in my craft room.  It’s been a huge work in progress for years in order to get it this organized.  Naturally, I was thrilled to review the CLD Brands Arts and Crafts Organizer Box.  When you’re a little focused like I am, you love to hear the word organizer.

However, I must say that I’m not thrilled with the CLD Brands Arts and Crafts Organizer Box.  Although I didn’t pay the almost $25 (now under $20) price, Amazon’s price at the time of my order, I was expecting a spectacular product.  I was disappointed with the quality and overall value of this product.

The CLD Brands Arts and Crafts Organizer Box was the size I expected, but I was expecting something with more durability.  It’s very lightweight, as described in the product description, but not what I have come to expect for adult quality storage containers.  The snap lock leaves a lot to be desired, it’s not the traditional lift, pull down, and latch lock.  It does not lock tight and easily comes undone with a slight touch of the finger.

I was happy with the amount of storage provided in the CLD Brands Arts and Crafts Organizer Box.  I had LOTS of fat ribbon and TONS of eyelet that needed a new home and the CLD Brands Arts and Crafts Organizer Box was just the place for it.  The clear plastic is ideal for me to quickly identify where everything is located to make those projects go faster.

The tray provided lots of different sized sections which are great for me to use for the smaller pieces of trim.  It only fills less than half of the Organizer Box when put into place, leaving plenty of space in the main body for storage.  The domed top also provides plenty of space for the not so small goodies on the removable shelf.

Would I spend nearly $25 out of pocket for the CLD Brands Arts and Crafts Organizer Box?  No.  It’s not worth anything close to this price point in my opinion.  Even brand new, I wouldn’t pay more than about $5 out of pocket for it.  Of course, I freely admit that I am EXTREMELY frugal aka a tightwad.  I’m sure that the durability will not be an issue since I’m using it for the storage of lightweight materials.  As noted in the product description, it seems to be recommended for only lightweight materials.

Overall, I do like the CLD Brands Arts and Crafts Organizer Box.  There is nothing misleading about the description provided on Amazon.  It was my own expectations that misled me.  Even with all of this being said, it is a useful product for me in my craft organization.  It blends in nicely with my other storage containers and has already found a new home on top of my button box.
