Scrabble GamesformotionScrabble GamesformotionMost of us associate family with the holidays.  Growing up, I lived in Louisiana with most of my family living in either there or Texas.  Our get togethers were never small.  My dad was one of ten children, with five living by the time I came along.  My mother was one of three, but the only one who moved more than a few miles away from the rest of the family.  Mama’s family get togethers involved kids playing.  We had a lot of imagination and didn’t need a lot of toys.  We had acres and acres to play and explore on.

My dad’s family was different.  The women visited, the men played cards or dominoes, and the kids played games, typically board games.  Many times, we had partner up with older kids taking on a younger partner.  Games could last for hours without ending.  At the end of the night, we often wrote down who owned what properties, had how much money, etc. before packing the games away.  No one was ever declared a winner as games were rarely ever declared “done.”

With the current generation of game players, fewer and fewer are experiencing the tradition of playing old-fashioned board games.  Want to revive the tradition of these beloved board games, but your kids just aren’t into it?  Gamesformotion is the company to grab and keep your kids attention with classic board games.

Gamesformotion has released classic childhood board game favorites which will all exclusively feature game pieces that you can eat. All of the chocolate games have the same essential features as their famous counterparts, except that their cards and letter tiles have been replaced with the finest Belgian milk chocolate encased within printed wrappers. Rules for all of the games have been slightly modified by Gamesformotion to ensure they’re always fun and easy to play. Now instead of playing solely for the bragging rights of winning, in many of the games, you now win all of the chocolate that you could hope for in one sitting.

Even the youngest of players can play the more difficult games like Monopoly because little strategy is involved.  With the Gamesformotion edition of Monopoly, players only need to spin the spinner.  The spinner lands on a color or other symbol.  Players collect a piece of chocolate with the match color, with the rules varying slightly, based on who collects the last color piece, railroads, chance, etc.  At the end of the game, the player with the most pieces of chocolate wins the game.

Monopoly Gamesformotion

My daughter’s best friend graduated from high school last year, with severe learning disabilities.  This effects her ability to enjoy many board games that involve strategies and math, like Monopoly.  We can’t wait to surprise her our Gamesformotion edition of  Monopoly over the Christmas Break.  She’s such a sweet girl, I can see the tears of joy (because that’s just how she is) when we play and she finds out how easy it is for her to play.  Then she’ll chase back the tears with the sheer delight of Belgian milk chocolate.

Other games received for our review include Candyland, Guess Who?, and Scrabble.
