Celebrate National Friendship Day with Strawberry Shortcake

Sunday, August 3rd is National Friendship Day and Strawberry Shortcake wants to help kids celebrate! Share a picture of your favorite girl with her BFF on the Strawberry Shortcake Facebook page– facebook.com/StrawberryShortcake OR berrybestbits on Instagram or Twitter, and Hashtag with #BerryBestFriend. Five sets of BFFs will be chosen at random and will win a new Strawberry Shortcake doll coming out this Fall!

A few years ago, I was able to find my original Strawberry Shortcake doll and show it to Miss JoJo.  It was packed away n suitcase of  old dolls and doll clothes.  My parents packed them away many years ago.  The first thing I did was smell my Strawberry Shortcake to see if she still had that Berrylicious smell.  Unfortunately, after being packed away in a suitcase in Louisiana summer heat for over 25 years.  She didn’t have the scent anymore, but she was still as cute as ever!

My daughter is probably one of my best friends.  There aren’t a lot of moms who can say that about their 17 year old daughter.  However, it’s just the two of us at our house, so it’s a little different.
