Best Buy Greatest Dad

Father’s Day is coming up and Best Buy has put together a description of different dads and  the types of things each of them might like.  As a blogger who advertises many of great products and programs for Best Buy, I was asked to pick which of the following most represents my dad and I.

My dad is somewhat between the Entertainer and the Memory Maker.  These are hobbies we share, but in different ways.  He loves his old Western movies and Gospel music.  I like to watch TV series and tv crime shows.  He enjoys the pictures I take on my digital camera, but rarely uses my older digital camera I gave him.  He is a little fascinated with his new messaging phone that I recently bought him.  He is new to the world of texting and excited to learn to use the camera phone to take and send pictures.

As far as a new gift from those in the under $50 category from these categories from Best Buy, I think a Roku – Streaming Stick HDMI Version might be a great new toy for the two of us.  Yes, I said the two of us.  I wouldn’t dare buy one for him without buying one for myself.  Why?  My dad is 77 years old and loves to learn about new things that will give him what he wants and needs.  Why would I need one?  Guess who my Dad’s tech teacher is?  Yep, it’s me!

He’d be thrilled to find more Westerns than he ever though possible.  Of course, we’d probably need to do something about his satellite internet though.  😉  Which one of these best describes your dad?  What gift would you pick for him and why?

Entertainer:  Gifts for the Dad who aspires to set up the ultimate man cave complete with gaming, sports, movies, listing to music, or just hanging out. This Dad loves to share so it also has everything at the ready for entertaining a crowd.

Gizmo Guru: Gifts for the dad that always wants to take his tech to the next level with the latest and greatest – always connected, at home and on the go.

Fitness Fanatic: Dad who doesn’t let age slow him down.  He has no fear and loves adventure, but aspires to be/keep healthy as well. Dad uses technology in a wide range of ways in his active life both for himself and the family for instance; Go Pro and Fit Bit to track activity and recording adventures, to portable batteries for on the go fitness, camping while listening to music / watching movies on the smartphone

Memory Maker: For the Dad that makes sure that not only all the memories are captured and stored (video/photo) but keeps the family organized and under control. Gifts for him make his life easer; Dad pays the bills with laptop, videos kids, back up storage for pictures, prints out schedules for baseball practices and games, etc.

Don’t forget you can always order online and pick up in the store.  Spend $35 or more and get Free Shipping.  Find what you want to buy, but it’s cheaper on another major retailer’s site?  NOT a problem with Best Buy’s Low Price Guarantee.
