ABC Friday Photo Share – P is For

**This post may contain affiliate links. All opinions expressed are my own. Disclosure Policy.**

My friends over at Maple Leaf Mommy and Mom vs. the Boys have a new and fun meme that I’m taking part in.

The goal of ABC Friday is to photo share with a challenge!  Each week is a new letter theme, starting with A of course, we will work our way through the alphabet.  I’m coming on board with the letter H.  I may go back and add the other letters later on.

Just post a picture with the letter theme for that week…. A is for Auto, B is for Beach, C is for Cake….get the idea?
This is not Wordless Wednesday, feel free to share in words what the photo is all about! or not, it’s up to you!

If you want to take part in ABC Friday they ask you to link back to the host page in your post so that your readers can easily find them!   Make sure to link up your post, not your homepage!

If you leave a comment on my post, I’ll come and visit yours.  I would appreciate a direct link to your ABC Picture post with your comment.  Many thanks to those of you who already leave your link!

P is for…..Puerto Rican Princess aka PRP

PRP Collage Photo Share

Our Puerto Rican Princess came into our lives in the most unexpected way.  Her mommy and daddy worked with me when I was still teaching.  We were friendly with one another, but not close friends.  After CC was born, I left a message on her mommy’s Facebook wall and told her to let me know if she needed any help with baby.  Much to my surprise, her mommy IMMEDIATELY responded and asked me if I wanted to be the baby sitter.  I was so shocked!  I had been sincere in my offer of help, but was not expecting the offer I received in return.

As you can tell, our PRP stole our hearts and added so much to our lives, including people we now consider our family.  And most of our PRP’s extended family has taken us in as their family as well.  Our little PRP was in my care from six weeks until a little over year and then started going to day care.  We demanded “visitation” though and still see our girl on a regular basis.

PRP Collage Photo ShareOur Puerto Rican Princess never ceases to amaze us these days.  Although she only turned two in December, she knows her basic shapes and some of her colors.  As you can see in a couple of these pictures, she has to have things just so.  Like the baby dolls and crayons all in a row?  Our girl is a ham for the camera.  She’s just as happy in real life as she looks in these pictures.

I’ve had a couple of friends tell me that I got a young start at being a grandma with our PRP.  All I know is that I love having her around and miss her when we don’t feel that the visitation agreement is being upheld.  😉  Miss JoJo and I love buying the cute little clothes, shoes, and toys that we spoil her with.  When she’s here with us, EVERYTHING else shuts down and she gets full attention.

If this is what being a grandma is all about, I suppose it’s a pretty good gig.  However, Miss JoJo is only 16, so I’m in no rush and we’re more than happy to spoil our PRP for many years to come.  She must be pretty content with the situation, too.  I spent two hours on the floor playing with the Puerto Rican Princess on Saturday night.  After I left, her mommy told me that she made the following statement, “Fun with Dolores.”  Yep, I think this is a mutually beneficial relationship with potential for the future!
